Donald l "Butch" Kobs, 85, of Danville, died October 5, 2018 in West Point.
Born October 14, 1932 in Burlington, the son of Edward and Marie Liedermann Kobs. August 6, 1968 he married Marcia Fulton in Galesburg. She she died December 17, 2005. He served in the Army from 1954 to 1962. He worked at Champion Sparkplug and the IAAP.
Mr. Kobs is survived daughter Dawn Taylor (Paulette Appel) of Des Moines; granddaughters, Samantha and Dana Taylor; sisters, Ruth Sullivan of Fallon, Nevada, his twin Mary O'Neill of Marion,; brother James (Mary Lee) Kobs of Mt. Pleasant; stepsons, David Kobs of Indiana and Mick Kobs of Burlington; stepdaughters, Jo Anne Dill of Blandinsville, Il, Linda Schmidt of Woodland Park, CO, Kay Calfee of Loveland, CO, Chris Herman, Mt. Pleasant; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; wife; brothers Edward and Robert; sisters, Dorothy Lott and Grace Kobs; step-son, Kenneth Kobs.
