Donna McCannon, 80, Lowell, died Friday at Donnellson Health Center. She was born August 28, 1938 in San Diego to Elliott and Orpha Davis. April 11, 1960 she married Frank "Butch" McCannon in Monmouth, Illinois.
She worked as a med-aide at Danville Care Center and retired from Metromail. She was a graduate of Keosauqua High School. Donna loved animals, especially her husband's chickens; enjoyed playing cards, visiting with friends, riding motorcycles, and going with her husband over the road. Time with family and friends was special.
Besides her husband, survivors include sons, Ron (Carole), Keokuk; John, Middletown; Doug (Michelle), Bonaparte; daughter, Teresa (Dave) Dameron, Mt. Pleasant; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Susan) Davis, Keosauqua and Harry (Kathy) Davis, Burlington.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by her beloved step-mother, Madeline Carr Davis and brother, Walter Davis.
According to her wishes, there will be no formal services; her body has been cremated. Visitation will begin at 9 AM, December 8 at Elliott Chapel with family receiving friends from 11 1 PM.
